Position Overview
The warehouse associate is responsible for loading, unloading, staging, and verifying cargo in addition to general labor associated with the cleanliness, organization, and security of the warehouse. Movement of freight will require forklift operation and occasional manual movement of freight. The warehouse associate works a standard 40 hour work week with overtime and weekends as needed.
Supervision Received and Exercised
The warehouse associate reports to the warehouse supervisor and designee(s).
The warehouse associate exercises no supervision.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Load, unload, count, scan, and stage cargo.
· Verify receipt and shipment of cargo by reviewing bills of lading, airway bills, and other related documentation to ensure appropriate storage, movement, labeling, and scanning of cargo.
· Operate forklift to move and organize cargo and other warehouse supplies. Manually move or handle cargo to strap, wrap, and build pallets or perform other organizational methods as needed.
· Recognize and identify hazmat and other safety-related signage as well as potential safety hazards, following handling and safety protocols as directed.
· Monitor security of warehouse, ensuring dock doors and entrances are closed when unused.
· Keep warehouse and equipment clean and free from dunnage or other debris.
· Maintain communication with office staff, warehouse manager, and designee(s) to ensure completion of tasks.
Team Responsibilities and Duties
· Employ professionalism through performance of all tasks and communication with staff, customers, and other visitors.
· Take initiative as a team player to problem-solve and assist where needed. Complete other duties as assigned by warehouse manager or designee(s).
· Follow TSA and other safety regulations as directed by warehouse manager. TSA testing and certification provided by employer and required for employment.
Qualifications
· High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
· Forklift experience and/or certification preferred. Additional forklift training is provided by Grove Transportation Services, Inc.
· Air cargo logistics experience preferred.
· Valid driver’s license is preferred.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs required.
· Ability to walk, stand, lift, and carry for long periods of time required.
· Exceptional team work, communication, attention to detail, and integrity required.
· Fluency in English and legal eligibility to work in the United States required.
Pay and Benefits
· Paid bi-weekly, hourly rate commensurate with experience.
· Overtime pay time and a half after 40 hours per week.
· PTO package, accruals beginning day 1.
· 75% of employee only medical insurance premiums covered by employer.

· 401k contribution 3% of gross compensation after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment.
