About the role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented production cutter to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting all materials and products we use down to their required finishing sizes. Your work is essential to keeping our production workflow running smoothly and on schedule. This is a hands-on, active position that requires consistency, accuracy, and a strong work ethic every single day.
What you'll do
Cut all production materials and products to their specified finishing sizes using appropriate cutting equipment and tools
Measure and verify dimensions before and after cutting to ensure all pieces meet exact specifications
Work through the daily cut list efficiently, prioritizing tasks to ensure all materials are completed before the shift ends
Inspect materials for defects or inconsistencies prior to cutting and set aside any product that does not meet quality standards
Keep all cutting equipment clean, calibrated, and in safe working condition; report any maintenance needs promptly
Organize and stage cut materials in designated areas so the production team can access them immediately after your shift
Follow all workplace safety protocols at all times, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of cutting tools and equipment
Dispose of or set aside scrap and waste material properly to keep the work area clean and hazard-free throughout the shift
What we're looking for
Previous experience operating cutting machinery or production equipment preferred, but motivated candidates willing to learn will be considered
Strong attention to detail — you take accuracy seriously and don't cut corners (except the right ones)
Able to read and follow cut sheets, production orders, or verbal instructions accurately
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling materials throughout the shift
Dependable and punctual — this role starts at 7:00 AM and the team counts on you being ready to go from the first minute
