Pay range: $150K to $200K depending on experience and cultural fit
What You Do:

As a Chief Estimator, your role bridges executive strategy with day-to-day tactical execution. Successfully oversees bidding, quoting, and multi-regional teams.

Serve as the strategic leader of the estimating function, bridging executive vision with operational execution across all regions (CT, NY, MA), driving alignment with organizational growth and profitability objectives.

Direct and scale a multi-regional estimating organization, establishing standardized processes, governance, and performance metrics to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in all bids and proposals.

Provide executive-level oversight for the development of complex, large-scale construction and infrastructure estimates, ensuring alignment with project scope, client requirements, and financial targets.

Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on project pursuits, shaping bid strategy, pricing positioning, risk tolerance, and go/no-go decisions to maximize win rates and margin performance.

Collaborate closely with project managers, executives, and cross-functional teams to validate assumptions, identify risks, and refine pricing strategies.
- Provide strategic input on project pursuits, including bid approach, cost positioning, and value opportunities to enhance competitiveness and profitability.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with key subcontractors, vendors, and partners to strengthen competitive positioning and ensure access to best-in-class pricing and resources.

Champion data-driven estimating practices by leveraging historical cost data, market intelligence, and industry trends to enhance forecasting accuracy and inform strategic decision-making.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project management, finance, and executive teams to validate assumptions, optimize cost models, and ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to execution.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating function, including technology adoption, process innovation, and team development, to increase productivity and scalability.

Mentor and develop estimating leadership and staff, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
What You Bring:

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail
- Minimum 7 years’ experience, specifically estimating experience within the construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams
- Certified Professional Estimator - ASPE; or Associate Estimating Professional Certification desirable
