Rapid Prototyping & Engineering is growing, and we're looking for a dependable, hands-on Manufacturing Operations Assistant to join our team in Franklin, Indiana.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in manufacturing and gain exposure to multiple areas of a precision machining operation. You won't be doing the same thing every day. You'll have the opportunity to support assembly, deburring, saw operations, material handling, packing, shipping, and other areas that help keep production moving.

What You'll Do
As an Operations Assistant, you'll provide hands-on support throughout our manufacturing operation. Depending on the needs of the day, responsibilities may include:
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards to complete manufacturing tasks to customer specifications.
- Perform manual assembly of components with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Deburr parts using hand tools or equipment to remove sharp edges and burrs.
- Operate saws and cutting equipment to prepare material for machining.
- Perform part washing and baking processes.
- Perform laser etching for part identification, branding, and traceability.
- Sort, stage, organize, and move materials and parts throughout the shop.
Packing & Deliveries
- Pack, band, and stage finished parts for customers and vendors.
- Properly package products to help prevent damage during transportation.
- Load, unload, and secure deliveries in company-owned and third-party trucks.
Material Handling & Shop Organization
- Operate pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts to transport and stage raw material and work-in-process.
- Maintain organized material and production areas to support efficient workflow.
- Properly place and label materials for identification and accessibility.
Safety & Shop Support
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate fluid levels and communicate maintenance concerns to supervisors.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop.
