Prime Connected is hiring a Low Voltage Technician to support projects throughout the Omaha area. This is a hands-on field position for someone who enjoys technical work and wants consistent project experience without being on the road full-time.
You will install and support the cabling infrastructure used by hospitals and healthcare facilities. Most assignments will be local, although occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.
For more than 20 years, Prime Connected has provided low voltage installation and support services to healthcare organizations across the country. Our work includes structured cabling, fiber, nurse call, patient monitoring, and other technology systems that keep healthcare facilities connected and operating effectively.
As a Low Voltage Technician, you will pull, route, terminate, test, and label category cable and fiber. You will work in active healthcare environments, including above ceilings, on ladders, and inside IDF and MDF rooms.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Reading project drawings and following installation requirements
- Testing and documenting completed cabling
- Maintaining clean, organized, and professional work areas
- Following hospital protocols and jobsite safety standards
- Working with project leads and other technicians to meet schedules and quality expectations
We are looking for someone with previous experience in structured cabling, category cable, fiber, or another low voltage field. You should be comfortable performing physical work in active jobsite environments and able to complete installations accurately with close attention to labeling, testing, and documentation.
The right person is dependable, communicates clearly, follows instructions, and takes pride in producing clean, professional work. You should also be willing to learn new systems and continue building your technical skills.
Within your first several months, you will become familiar with Prime Connected's installation standards and healthcare project requirements. You will be able to complete common cabling tasks independently, produce work that passes quality inspections, and take on more complex assignments as your skills develop.
Successful technicians are known for being reliable, safety-conscious, organized, and respectful while working around hospital employees and patients.
Prime Connected offers health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, HSA options, paid time off, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, an employee referral program, and continued training and development opportunities.
Submit your resume and tell us about your experience with low voltage systems, structured cabling, category cable, fiber, or related installation work.
