What You'll Do:
- Hold final approval authority over all residential contracting work performed by the company in Georgia
- Review and sign off on contract terms before execution, and stay informed on job progress and scope changes
- Serve as the person accountable to the State Licensing Board for how each permitted job is run
- Keep the license current, including timely renewal filings and continuing education if required
- Confirm insurance and financial compliance requirements tied to the license are met and stay current
- Coordinate regularly with operational leadership on job status, contract terms, and any changes in scope, insurance, or licensing status
- Maintain good standing with the Board and comply with Title 43, Chapter 41 requirements
Requirements:
- Current, valid Residential-Basic Contractor license issued by the Georgia State Licensing Board (or eligibility to obtain one through examination, reciprocity, or prior approval)
- Demonstrated experience in residential construction sufficient to meet Board competency and character requirements
- Ownership stake in the company or a bona fide W-2 employment relationship
- Working knowledge of O.C.G.A. Title 43, Chapter 41 and associated Board rules
- Good standing with the Board, with no unresolved disciplinary history
- Ability to review contracts, evaluate job scope and financial terms, and exercise real decision-making authority over permitted work
