ROLE: Senior Accountant
LOCATION: South El Monte, California.
WORK STATUS: Temp With Possibility of Hire
WORK SITE STATUS: Hybrid (2 days/week in the office)
PAY RANGE: $45.00/hour to $52/hour
JOB DESCRIPTION
CV Resources, in partnership with our client, a health care company, seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. Reporting within a well-structured corporate accounting team, the Senior Accountant will support core general ledger functions and contribute to an accurate and timely month-end close.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
General Ledger (G/L) Accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Maintain and reconcile prepaid schedules and roll forwards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts and provide clear explanations.
Audit & Compliance
- Assist with external audit requests and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP reporting requirements.
- Support the implementation of new accounting standards as applicable.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Required
- Public accounting (audit) background.
- Hands-on general ledger experience including journal entries, prepaids, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in accounting or related field.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
Preferred
- CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA.
