Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and professional growth
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and presentation to uphold quality standards and consistency across all menu items
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular inspections and staff training in food handling procedures
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours and special events like banquets or catering services
- Implement training & development programs to enhance staff skills in food production, customer service, and hospitality management
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
- Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in restaurant or hospitality settings; adept at team management and staff training & development
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and food management practices to reduce waste and control costs
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing and reporting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Background in restaurant management with experience in shift management, budgeting, food safety protocols, and hospitality operations
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail
