Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items such as hot dogs, burgers,,and specialty dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, and food preparation tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on grilling techniques and ingredient selection to enhance dish quality
- Ensure consistent food presentation by adhering strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control measures
- Support food production efforts during high-volume service periods by managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a grill cook or in a similar food industry role, preferably with fine dining or high-volume restaurant experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
- Background in dietary department work or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Food industry or catering experience that demonstrates versatility in food production and serving
