Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy and speed
- Upsell related products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products effectively
- Process retail transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring proper cash handling and cash drawer management
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support team members by supervising store areas during busy periods, ensuring safety and organization
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to connect with diverse customers effectively
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling duties responsibly, including cash drawer management and basic math skills
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and stock management practices is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences
- Supervising experience is beneficial for supporting team leadership during shifts
