O'Brien Mountain Home is a Northern California contractor specializing in fire-hardening, decking, siding, and exterior home improvement. We protect and improve homes through high-quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and organized project execution.
The Role
We're hiring experienced installers and skilled handymen to join our installation teams on active exterior projects across the Redding area. This is hands-on field work on siding, decking, fire-hardening, and exterior improvements. If you've run siding or built decks and you bring your own tools and work ethic, we want you on the crew.
What We're Looking For
- Experience installing James Hardie or siding in general
- Experience building decks (wood and/or metal)
- General handyman skills a strong plus
- Your own tools, or most of your own tools, preferred but not required
- Reliable and on time, every day
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Comfortable with physical, outdoor work in all conditions
What You'll Do
- Install James Hardie and other siding on active exterior projects
- Build and finish wood and metal decks
- Handle a range of exterior improvement and general handyman work
- Follow safety procedures and crew lead direction
- Keep job sites clean and organized
- Clock in/out and track your time in our job software (JobTread)
Less experience but a strong work ethic and some of your own tools? We're open to training the right person — reach out and let's talk.
Pay: $25 - $35 / hour depending on experience, with raises as you develop skills.
Schedule: Early start (crew begins between 5:00am and 7:00am)
