POSITION OVERVIEW
The Lead Provider Services Specialist (PSS) oversees provider compliance activities and ensures adherence to Texas Workforce Commission regulations, Board directives, and organizational policies. This role leads monitoring efforts, technical assistance, and training initiatives to support provider contractual compliance. The position helps ensure the accuracy and completeness of provider documentation and data management within the State of Texas' Child Care management software. The role also drives continuous improvement efforts by identifying operational efficiencies, mentoring staff, and supporting high-quality service delivery, while providing mentoring and team support to the PSS unity

Essential Function

Prepares and maintains updated paperwork for all records within the time frames specified by the Texas Workforce Commission and Board area directives and policies and procedures.
- Provides guidance and oversight for accurate and timely updates within the State of Texas’ child care management system, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance across the team.
- Directs and coordinates monitoring activities of providers to ensure adherence to contractual requirements, state regulations, and quality standards, while providing advanced technical assistance and corrective action guidance as needed.
- Conducts follow up visits on service improvement agreements.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on unit procedures, policies, and operational guidelines, leading team participation in meetings and training to strengthen understanding of the ETWDB system and related initiatives.
- Works closely with Supervisor in developing and implementing plans for large scale unit projects and tasks.

Leads the resolution of complex provider contract issues, escalated complaints, and operational concerns by working collaboratively with management, and Family Services team members.
- Helps ensure all provider files are complete, accurate, and compliant with required documentation standards, including service agreements, tax documentation, deposit forms, and state licensing records
- Identifies, evaluates, and recommends process improvement initiatives, helping to develop and implement strategies that enhance compliance, workflow efficiency, and overall program performance.
- Provides leadership, mentoring, and support to team members, promoting accountability, professional development, and consistent application of policies and procedures.
