Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. Your technical proficiency in supply chain management, ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, and production management systems will be essential in maintaining seamless communication across departments. Duties
- Evaluating customer demand through close collaboration with the Divisional Supply Chain Planning to create suitable production schedules.
- Translate demand forecasts into executable production plans aligned with customer requirements.
- Identify material shortages and proactively escalate or coordinate alternatives to prevent production delays.
- Track and report weekly and monthly key production KPIs, highlighting trends and variances for management to support operational decision-making.
- Execute month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate production, inventory, and performance reporting for management.
- Execute daily process order and consumption data entry in ERP.
- Maintain and analyze Material Requirement Planning (MRP) data in coordination with procurement to ensure accurate material availability and production scheduling.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages and overstock.
- Coordinate production schedules with maintenance teams to incorporate planned downtime, PMs, and changeovers.
- Participate in the Master Data workflow process related with material creation/updates and incorporate the data into the production schedule.
- Perform capacity planning to balance production load across equipment, labor, and shifts.
- Participate in Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) and cross-functional planning meetings to align production, demand and inventory strategies.
- Coordinate production schedules with maintenance teams to incorporate planned downtime, PMs, and changeovers.
- Promptly address and resolve production planning issues to minimize delays in production.
- Support periodic physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy of production and warehouse records.
- Oversee auxiliary spare parts order fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers. Ensure accurate system completion of outbound and inbound shipments to maintain inventory integrity. Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to support efficient inbound and outbound material flow.
- Maintain Auxiliary Spare Parts manuals, drawings, and technical information in an organized and secure manner.
- Coordinate the implementation of production trials with Marketing, I&AD, divisional Supply Chain, Production Supervisor, Quality and Procurement.
- Monitor usage of utilities to ensure efficiency of operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience with focus on: Production, Scheduling
- Certification in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) or relevant accreditation preferred
- Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP)Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent production management systems.
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, forecasting techniques, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
- Expertise in inventory management systems and inventory control practices.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications—particularly Excel—for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective cross-functional communication skills to collaborate across departments seamlessly.
