We are seeking a Customer Support / Technical Support Specialist with direct, professional car audio experience to join our team.
IMPORTANT: Car Audio Experience Required
This position requires previous hands-on experience working in a car audio shop, automotive electronics installation facility, or a similar professional car audio environment.
Candidates without direct professional car audio experience will not be considered. If you have only personal hobby experience, general automotive experience, or customer service experience without working in a car audio environment, please do not apply.
Position Overview
As a Customer Support / Technical Support Specialist, you will be the primary technical resource for customers before and after their purchase. You will assist customers with product selection, installation questions, troubleshooting, system configuration, and technical support.
The ideal candidate understands vehicle audio systems, amplifiers, DSPs, speakers, wiring, signal integration, and installation best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide phone, email, and ticket-based technical support to customers
- Assist customers in selecting the correct products for their vehicle and application
- Troubleshoot car audio installation and performance issues
- Support customers through installation and setup processes
- Review and diagnose amplifier, speaker, DSP, wiring, and integration concerns
- Process technical warranty claims and RMAs when necessary
- Document customer interactions within HubSpot CRM
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to resolve customer issues
- Stay current on Trail Seven products and emerging car audio technologies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience working in a car audio installation shop, mobile electronics retailer, or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- Car audio systems
- Amplifiers and DSP tuning concepts
- Speakers and subwoofers
- Vehicle wiring and electrical systems
- OEM integration and aftermarket audio upgrades
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working with CRM and support ticket systems
- Ability to provide professional customer service while resolving technical issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, and off-road vehicle audio upgrades
- MECP certification (current or previous)
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM software
- Familiarity with plug-and-play audio systems and OEM integration products
