Overview
Join our team as a Dedicated Shuttle Driver and become a vital part of our transportation network! In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting trailers in and out of the local terminal yard as needed, conducting trailer inspections to ensure vendor compliance with tank wash to reduce the potential for rejections, organizing equipment, and assisting with trailer preps. Your dedication will help us deliver exceptional customer experiences and provide added driver support, while adhering to traffic and safety related regulations.
Duties
- Pick up empty trailers from local customer locations and return them to the terminal.
- Conduct post-wash inspections on 6 to 12 trailers daily to verify they are free of residual water and product contamination
- Audit trailer paperwork to ensure annual inspections and registrations are up to date
- Maintain and organize trailer hoses in the Connex storage container to ensure cleanliness and accessibility
- Assist with preparing trailers for next-day dispatch operations
- Support miscellaneous maintenance and yard activities as needed
- Be available for weekend work
- Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes and adapt to real-time traffic conditions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver with a clean driving record
- Tanker experience strongly preferred
- Valid CDL A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Experience with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of state transportation regulations and HOS rules
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
