We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Collision Estimator to join our automotive repair team. Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage through detailed inspections, utilizing computer-aided estimating software to produce precise repair estimates.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with technicians and service managers to coordinate repairs, parts ordering, and workflow scheduling.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, or other mechanical repairs when appropriate.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, repair orders, and client interactions in accordance with dealership or shop standards.
- Assist in managing customer expectations by providing updates on repair progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Support dealership or shop operations by handling cash transactions accurately and ensuring all client communication is professional and courteous.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a collision estimator or in automotive service management; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is advantageous.
- Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, collision repair processes, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex repair details clearly to clients.
- Knowledge of auto estimating techniques including service writing, auto estimating software, and client communication strategies.
- Ability to upsell additional services such as tire service, oil changes, brake repairs, shocks & struts, suspensions, transmissions, and other mechanical repairs effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive vehicles for inspection purposes.
- Cash handling experience is a plus; strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple estimates simultaneously.

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
