Job Title: Superintendent
Salary Context: (DOE) Would be offering a base salary in the $75,000 to $100,000 range based on experience.

The Superintendent is responsible for managing daily field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating, verifying work in place, and ensuring construction is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents, submittals, and quality standards. This new team member will work on local jobs in and around the Greater Houston area.

Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with project managers, ensuring timely completion of various phases of construction.

Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.

Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that work meets specified standards, conducting inspections and facilitating necessary adjustments as needed.

Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate construction crews and subcontractors by assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Training & Development: Provide guidance and on-the-job training for team members, promoting skill development and compliance with safety regulations.

Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts or issues that arise on the job site effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring all parties are informed of project status and any developments.

Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports that detail project status, challenges faced, and plans for overcoming obstacles to stakeholders and upper management.

Safety Management: Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including obtaining necessary permits.

Cost Control: Monitor budget expenditures and implement strategies to minimize costs without compromising quality.

Change Orders: Evaluate change orders, ensuring they are justified and properly documented, and informing stakeholders of any impacts on project budgets or schedules.

Five years or more of commercial Superintendent experience required for this role.

Must have experience managing subcontractors and crews.

Experience building or supervision of hardscape, entry monuments, walls, and fencing highly desired.
