Work Model: Onsite – Rotating 12-hour 3/4 schedule (2-week rotation).
Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered
Summary of the Role:
BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to join our client’s site in Madison, WI. This role will support cGMP manufacturing operations by producing APIs and intermediates, operating production equipment, maintaining production areas, following written procedures and batch records, supporting safety and quality standards, communicating production status across shifts, and assisting with additional departmental activities as needed.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consistently follow and actively promote proper safety protocols and PPE to other staff.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of production areas and related equipment during each shift, including proper handling of potent compounds.
- Utilize written procedures, including batch records and operating procedures.
- Function as a primary or secondary operator for cGMP production of APIs and intermediates.
- Operate production equipment during production, cleaning, and maintenance activities.
- Communicate production status effectively through shift pass-off tools.
- Correct safety and process gaps identified during inspections and audits.
- Participate in a team-based, multi-shift manufacturing environment through effective inter-shift communication and maintaining laboratory housekeeping.
- Provide departmental support through additional tasks assigned by department leadership.
- Be willing to work with highly potent and hazardous materials.
- Properly utilize required personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection, lab coats, disposable coveralls, hazmat suits, and other required protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related Life Science OR High School Diploma/GED with relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical, chemical, or related production manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and understand written protocols.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Email, etc.).
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate hand tools, calculators, and weighing/measuring devices.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Highly motivated and self-starter.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance from equipment or teammates when necessary
Shift Hours:
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM OR
- Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Training Schedule: Initial training lasts 4–6 weeks, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM at the Madison training center.
