Job Summary:
The Business Product Owner (BPO) for POOL360, our B2B ordering platform, represents the voice of the business and customer in the ongoing development, adoption, and integration of the platform. This role bridges the business, technology, and customer experience—translating commercial priorities into platform improvements that make POOL360 the preferred ordering channel for our B2B customers. Partnering closely with Product Management, IT, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Marketing, and external customers to define priorities, translate business needs into clear requirements, and ensure POOL360 delivers measurable value—improving the customer ordering experience while driving digital adoption and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Owns POOL360 business roadmap and backlog aligned to strategy, customer needs, and commercial value.
Translates objectives into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized requirements; makes clear tradeoff decisions.
Leads adoption strategy and execution (onboard new customers, reactivate dormant accounts, deepen engagement) with Sales/Business Solutions.
Removes adoption barriers using customer feedback, field input, and data insights; champions platform internally/externally.
Partners with Implementation/Support to deliver scalable onboarding, training, and enablement to accelerate time-to-value.
Validates releases via UAT and ensure customer-ready deployments; escalates issues impacting experience/adoption.
Supports key integrations and data alignment (ERP/CRM/APIs, product/pricing/account setup) to reduce ordering friction and ensure workflow fit.
Defines and reports performance metrics (active users, order volume, % sales via platform, utilization, CSAT) and uses insights to refine priorities.

Requirements:
4+ years of experience in a Product Owner, eCommerce, Digital Product, or B2B platform role.
Proven ability to drive customer adoption and engagement for a digital product or ordering platform.
Strong skills in translating business needs into actionable requirements (user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria).
Cross-functional leadership ability—can align stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
Customer-first mindset with deep understanding of B2B ordering workflows and pain points.
Strong communication skills; able to engage effectively with customers, field teams, and technical partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field required.
Additional training or certifications in digital product management, sales, technology or project management are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with B2B commerce or ordering platforms in a distribution environment.
CRM experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
Familiarity with ERP and order-to-cash processes (pricing, inventory, fulfillment, credits/returns).
Proficiency with analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to measure adoption and performance.
