Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team as a over the road driver. The ideal candidate will have experience driving Dry Van with 53ft trailer. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a Dry Van Truck with 53ft trailer
- Execute route driving efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road (i.e. traffic congestion, vehicle breakdown)
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial driving.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo as required.
Experience and Requirements
- At least 2 years of driving experience, along with proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) for at least 6 months.
- Minimum age requirement is 24 years old.
- Experience with route driving and understanding of logistics operations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- No DUI, DWI or moving violations involving drugs or alcohol in the last 5 years
- Stable work history
- Valid CDL-A and Medical Card
