Overview
Join our healthcare team as a Medical Office Assistant, supporting front office operations and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient experience. You’ll handle patient interactions, scheduling, and administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Duties
- Open/close office areas and maintain daily schedule (day sheet)
- Check in patients, collect/apply payments, and manage patient forms
- Update demographics; scan/upload insurance, consents, and documents in EHR
- Answer calls, send task messages, return calls, and assist with patient inquiries
- Schedule/reschedule appointments, manage provider calendars, and maintain waitlists
- Handle patient collection calls and weekly statement mailing
- Manage faxing, scanning, records, and outgoing workflow
- Maintain schedules in Tavoca and update patient charts including payment authorizations
Experience
- Prior medical office or front desk experience preferred
- Familiarity with EHR systems and scheduling workflows
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Bilingual candidates preferred (Spanish-speaking preferred)
- Compensation will be discussed and based on interview
