Our new hospital is hiring for qualified veterinary professionals who share our vision of a new, compassion focused approach to veterinary medicine. We are seeking an inventory coordinator with 2-3 years of veterinary experience.
- The inventory assistant is responsible for helping intake new inventory shipments and upload the contents, and properly storing them. The Inventory assistant is expected to help restock items in the facilities as needed. Making notes and placing orders of items in low stock.
- Responsibilities of the inventory assistant include but are not limited to the following:
- Receive shipments
- Review packing slips and verify shipping contents
- Keeping inventory of items received and items in stock
- Making item counts
- Reordering supplies/items
- Break down boxes after items are removed
- Work with supervisor to maintain drug logs
- Become familiar with lab equipment and maintain as needed
- Schedule repairs for lab equipment
- Maintain lab equipment supply stock
- Ensure sharps containers are in stock
- Respond to requests for item ordering
- Inform staff of items on backorder
- Assist with equipment maintenance as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 – 3 years of veterinary reception experience
- Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology
- Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with both staff and clients
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow through
- Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients
- Ability to handle high stress situations
