Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water damage, flood restoration, and mold remediation projects, demonstrating emergency response readiness.
- Perform thorough assessments of affected areas using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to determine scope of damage.
- Execute water extraction, drying, cleaning, and sanitation processes utilizing industry-standard techniques and equipment such as moisture meters and dehumidifiers.
- Apply safety protocols diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection to safeguard yourself and others during restoration activities.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly to transport personnel and equipment to job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conduct fire restoration tasks when necessary, including debris removal and cleaning with carpet cleaning tools and other cleaning methods.
- Document all work performed with Xactimate estimating software or similar tools for accurate reporting and billing purposes.
- Collaborate with clients to deliver excellent customer service by communicating clearly about project progress and expectations.
- Follow strict safety procedures during mold remediation, flood restoration, and general restoration projects to prevent cross-contamination or health hazards.
- Maintain cleanliness on job sites by performing general cleaning tasks and ensuring all tools are properly stored after use.
Skills
- Proven experience in the restoration industry with a focus on water damage restoration, flood recovery, fire restoration, or mold remediation is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other specialized restoration devices efficiently.
- Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software for accurate project documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude when interacting with clients during stressful situations.
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding building structures during repairs or rebuilds.
- Willingness to participate in on-call coverage for emergency response situations outside regular hours.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
