Insurance Coverage Attorney
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000
A respected mid-sized law firm in Jersey City is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its expanding practice group. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated coverage matters across a broad range of policies, representing insurers and corporate clients in complex disputes.
The role offers exposure to diverse lines of coverage, including general liability, directors and officers (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O), employment practices liability, professional liability, and commercial property and casualty.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on insurance coverage issues
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with a high level of precision
- Advise clients on coverage positions and provide strategic, practical guidance
- Represent clients in litigation, mediations, negotiations, and court proceedings
- Stay current with developments in insurance law and regulatory changes
What We’re Looking For
- 2–8 years of experience in insurance coverage and policy analysis
- Strong understanding of insurance law and policy interpretation principles
- Admission to the New Jersey and/or New York Bar required (PA admission a plus)
- Litigation experience handling matters from inception through trial in state and federal courts
- Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills
