Job Summary
Join our dynamic aquatic team as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and skill development of our members and visitors. In this energetic position, you will monitor pool activities, enforce safety rules, provide engaging swim instruction, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Vigilantly supervise pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using established rescue techniques.
- Enforce safety rules and pool policies to ensure a secure environment for all guests.
- Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment checks to maintain optimal water quality.
- Deliver engaging swim lessons tailored to different skill levels, promoting water safety and swimming proficiency.
- Provide excellent guest services by assisting swimmers, answering questions, and creating a friendly atmosphere.
- Perform routine pool cleaning duties including skimming debris, scrubbing surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the pool area.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, attendance, and lesson progress as required.
Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification with current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid certifications.
- Proven lifeguard experience with strong swimming skills and the ability to perform water rescues confidently.
- Experience in swim instruction or teaching swimming skills is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool maintenance or equipment handling.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and basic cleaning techniques.
- Excellent guest service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities.
