The Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking dependable, alert, and customer-focused Lifeguards to help open our aquatics center and provide a safe, welcoming environment for members each morning. T his schedule offers consistent weekday hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts. Every day, you'll play an important role in protecting lives, building relationships, and helping our community enjoy the Y safely.

Essential Functions:
- Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area to ensure the safety of all swimmers.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, meeting YMCA response standards.
- Prevent accidents by enforcing pool rules in a professional and respectful manner.
- Keep rescue equipment ready and perform safety checks.
- Conduct swim tests, assist with chemical testing, and help maintain a clean, organized aquatic facility.
- Welcome members, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
- Demonstrate the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in every interaction.
