Activity Attendant Job Description
Position Summary
The Activity Attendant assists participants with daily activities while promoting a safe, engaging,
and welcoming environment. This position helps implement recreational, educational, social, and
therapeutic activities that enhance participants' physical, emotional, and mental well-being. The
Activity Attendant also assists with participant supervision, meals, transportation assistance, and
maintaining a clean and organized activity center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and leading daily activities.
- Encourage participant involvement and social interaction.
- Assist with mobility, ADLs, meals, transportation, documentation, and participant supervision.
- Observe and report changes in participant condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Follow HHSC regulations, infection control standards, and agency policies.
- Attend required training and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience working with older adults preferred. CPR/First
Aid certification or ability to obtain. Must successfully complete required background checks.
