We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney licensed in California and/or Texas to join our growing practice. This position is ideal for an attorney with experience or strong working knowledge in civil litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, and business law who is looking to take on meaningful responsibility and grow their practice.
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
- Represent clients in personal injury and insurance defense matters
- Assist with business law matters, including contract review, drafting, and dispute resolution
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and briefs
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
- Manage cases independently with appropriate supervision
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing in California and/or Texas
- Experience or demonstrated proficiency in:
- Civil litigation
- Personal injury
- Insurance defense
- Business law
- Probate/Estate Planning
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters efficiently
- Self-motivated with strong professional judgment
Preferred (But Not Required)
- 1–5 years of relevant legal experience
- Courtroom or deposition experience
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
