Job Description:
Cimarron is seeking a Mission Support Technician to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Vandenberg Space Force Base in the Lompoc, CA area.
Key Duties:
- Coordinate support with other internal program elements to give and receive additional support as needed.
- Assist with maintaining, securing, issuing and ensuring accountability for visitor restricted area badges in support of site access duties and distinguished visitor (DV) events.
- Assist with installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and other Field Service activities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct security briefings to required personnel regarding visiting and escorting MDA facilities.
- Facilitate effective and efficient interchanges with various members of the team and stakeholders.
- Ensure construction and maintenance personnel are properly badged, are briefed on security standards and are monitored within the restricted area for conformance with all applicable security policies and regulations.
- Ensure repairs are completed to quality standards and conduct post-repair quality checks to prevent repeat issues.
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems efficiently and effectively.
- Assist staff personnel with plans, programs, and implementation of activities which may include security, logistics, visitor control, protocol events, scheduling, and test support.
- Assist customer with maintaining security databases, tracking escort training and access lists to secured rooms, security containers within the facility and photographic device permits.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, promoting a culture of safety.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include, but is not limited to, testing for marijuana use.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- 4 or more years of general work experience.
- 2 or more years of directed related experience.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Experience operating a forklift and/or high-lift.
- Experience utilizing a ticketing system to track issues and fixes.
