Job Summary
We are an established construction company in Malibu, seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent/Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion. This role combines hands-on supervision with strategic project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate all aspects of construction activities, manage teams on-site, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. We are seeking to hire for a permanent position across multiple projects
Duties
- Lead and manage construction projects by coordinating schedules, resources, and personnel to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Oversee daily site operations, supervise crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure accurate execution of project specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify adherence to design specifications and industry standards; address issues promptly.
- Lead technical reviews of construction drawings and schematics; interpret technical data using tools like ohmmeters when necessary for electrical components.
- Supervise site safety protocols; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing new custom luxury home construction with a strong background in construction management principles.
- Extensive on-site construction experience with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong crew management skills with experience supervising diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent managerial communication skills for coordinating teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors seamlessly.
- Ability to interpret technical data using tools like ohmmeters for electrical or instrumentation work when required.
- A proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
- Must live within 50 miles of Malibu, California
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
