Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all items are fresh, appealing, and well-stocked throughout service.
- Serve food and beverages to guests with a friendly, professional attitude, assisting with dietary requests or special needs as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of all dining areas, kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Follow food handling protocols diligently to ensure compliance with food safety management standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, toasters, and warming trays safely and efficiently.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing excellent customer service during the payment process.
- Assist in food preparation tasks including basic cooking, portioning, and plating under supervision when needed.
- Handle weight-based tasks such as portion control or inventory checks with precision.
- Support catering or banquet setups when required, contributing to large-scale breakfast events or functions.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety by adhering to manual handling guidelines and food industry regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service environments such as restaurants, catering, or banquet settings; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management accurately.
- Experience with food handling regulations and dietary accommodations within the food industry.
- Knowledge of wine pairing or beverage service is desirable but not required; hospitality background highly valued.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift weights safely, and perform manual handling tasks comfortably.
