Job Summary
We are a family-oriented business seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Salesperson to join our dynamic team. Your ability to engage with customers and promote products will be key in driving sales and enhancing the shopping experience. Must be 18 and a high school graduate or equivalent to apply. Sales commissions are added to the hourly rate after successfully completing training.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Communicate product features and benefits effectively to customers to facilitate sales.
- Process transactions accurately through cash handling.
- Maintain well-organized stock levels on the sales floor and assist with inventory management.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations during transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Keep the sales area clean, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers effectively.
- A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the shopping experience for customers is highly valued.
- Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Experience with stock management is a plus.
- Specialized computer knowledge or training is a plus.

Expected hours: 36 per week
