American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring 2 years of RN experience and a SC or compact RN license.

/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital setting

Patient ratio of 1:6

Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
-
Weekend shifts required as needed
-
On-call requirement of either 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
-
13-week assignment length

>Active RN license (SC or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained before start
-
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CPI
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 1+ year considered on a case-by-case basis
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management required
-
Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration required
-
Recent Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
-
Must be able to pass a cardiac dysrhythmia test on the first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed

Must be clean-shaven or able to pass a fit test for PPE requirements
-
Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit including cardiac monitoring, wound care, and medication administration

Experience with orthopedic and spine patient populations preferred
-
Skills in respiratory care including chest tube management, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management are valued

Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application; RTO requests made after submission will not be accommodated

Facility maintains an attendance policy for travelers; missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
