What You Will Do
- Lead ISP and OSP construction activities including fiber placement, termination, splicing, testing, and labeling.
- Interpret construction drawings, network designs, and specifications.
- Coordinate and direct field crews and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with installation standards, safety plans, and quality requirements.
- Perform quality inspections and resolve installation deficiencies.
- Track daily progress, productivity, and field issues.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to support schedules and milestones.
- Ensure accurate completion of as‑built documentation and test results.
- Report progress, risks, and issues to management.
- Support training and mentoring of ISP/OSP technicians.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in ISP/OSP telecommunications construction.
- Prior experience acting as a Lead, Crew Lead, or Senior Technician.
- Experience with fiber optic networks, structured cabling, and telecom infrastructure.
- Experience on public or private telecom projects preferred.
Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of ISP and OSP construction practices.
- Fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing expertise.
- Ability to read and interpret telecom drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and crew coordination skills.
- Basic Excel and reporting skills.
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong communication and documentation habits.
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred; English required).
Disqualifiers
- No hands‑on ISP or OSP field experience.
- No experience leading crews or field activities.
- Inability to work in outdoor and active construction environments.
- Weak safety awareness or disregard for procedures.
- Poor documentation, organization, or follow‑through.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
