- You will support the installation and repair of underground utility systems by assisting pipe layers and equipment operators
- This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and a "safety-first" mindset
- Site Support: Assist in manual digging, trenching, and backfilling around existing utility lines where machinery cannot reach
- Material Handling: Safely move and position pipes (PVC, Ductile Iron, RCP), valves, grease traps, and manhole components
- Equipment Assistance: Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators to ensure safety and prevent utility strikes; assist with minor equipment maintenance
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized job site; strictly follow OSHA standards and BSDG safety protocols
- General Maintenance: Use hand and power tools (saws, compactors, jackhammers) to prepare sites for grading and installation
- Utility Installation: Assist in the assembly of sewer laterals, water mains, and storm drainage systems
