Duties
- Use sewing machines and hand stitching techniques to assemble, alter, or repair garments with precision and care
- Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and make necessary adjustments to clothing items
- Follow detailed garment construction patterns and specifications to produce high-quality clothing pieces
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sewing stations and tools for optimal workflow
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure consistency, durability, and aesthetic appeal
Skills
- Proven experience in sewing machine operation and garment construction techniques
- Excellent sewing skills, including hand stitching, hemming, fitting adjustments, and fabric handling
- Ability to interpret patterns, measurements, and technical drawings accurately
- Basic math skills for measuring, pattern adjustments, and fabric calculations
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship and timely completion of projects.
