Ventura Dive is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center at Ventura Harbor, teaching in these waters since 1989. We’re hiring a swim instructor to teach pool-based lessons for children and adults at our own pool, from first-time swimmers to adults preparing for snorkeling and scuba.
Duties
- Teach private and group swim lessons for all ages and skill levels
- Plan lessons that build water safety, confidence, and correct technique
- Supervise the pool and maintain safety standards during every lesson
- Track student progress and communicate with parents and adult students
- Maintain lesson records and assist with scheduling
Requirements
- Swim instruction, coaching, lifeguarding, or aquatic education experience preferred
- Comfortable managing both private and group lessons
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain them
- Experience with children or adaptive swimmers is a plus
