Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and register balancing
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items following food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions confidently
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours effectively
