Construction Estimator (Tech & AI-Driven)
We’re seeking a Construction Estimator who combines strong estimating skills with modern technology and AI tools. You will prepare accurate estimates, perform digital takeoffs, and use advanced software to streamline pre-construction and budgeting for commercial, residential, or multifamily projects. ** Commercial General Contracting Estimation experience REQUIRED**
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and proposals
- Review drawings, specs, and project documents
- Use digital estimating tools (PlanSwift, ProEst, Bluebeam, STACK, etc.)
- Leverage AI platforms (Togal.AI, OpenSpace, ClearEdge3D, or similar)
- Analyze labor, material, and subcontractor pricing
- Collaborate with project managers and pre-construction teams
- Maintain cost databases and support value engineering
- Analyze change orders based on current industry standard pricing
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience
- Strong understanding of materials, trades, and construction methods
- Proficiency with digital estimating software
- Familiarity with AI or willingness to learn quickly
- Ability to read architectural/engineering plans
Preferred
- Experience with Procore, Autodesk, Buildertrend, or BIM-based estimating
- Exposure to AI takeoff tools or automation workflows
