Job Summary
Affinity Journeys is growing, and we are looking for individuals passionate about world travel, history, and learning about cultures all over the world. We are seeking a Passenger Sales Representative – AHI Brand to our team. Ideally this person would have experience in sales, customer service or hospitality. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with customers and others to promote, develop, and finalize the sale of the company's worldwide products and services. Assignments may include, but are not limited to, specialized reservation functions and responding to sales and service opportunities from the general public, AHI Partners and clients. In addition, this person should provide excellent customer service while simultaneously reinforcing AHI’s commitment to service and quality.
Essential Job Functions:
The Passenger Sales Representative is responsible for the following:
- Handle incoming calls to assist customers with reservations and special requests using the AHI Reservation System.
- Communicate information to customers regarding our schedules, pricing, availability, and program itinerary or related services in a pleasant, well-modulated voice and courteous manner.
- Respond to email requests and process Internet reservations.
- Manage passenger payment portal to collect required deposit/payments from passengers.
- Be familiar with our AHI website and assist passengers with website questions.
- Determine guests’ needs and accommodate requests whenever possible.
- Possess a working knowledge of the reservation department and follow reservation procedures.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with tour programs to answer questions about program itineraries, hotels, meals, departure times, air details and other tour components.
- Conduct follow-up calls to our customers informing them about their reservation, allocation changes including date changes, postponements, and special requests.
- Process and send brochures and literature fulfillment requests.
- Maintain passenger requests such as, but not limited to, pending and waitlist.
Occasional Duties:
- Use of information pages on the network to be up to date on all our upcoming tours.
- Attend program briefings to learn new product knowledge and refresh current information.
- Maintain current information on all promotions.
- Review allocation notes and changes.
- Maintain Passenger Sales Manual up to date.
- Process special Prospect, promotional discounts and offers and literature requests.
- Internal support to our other departments, depending on call volumes, service levels, and/or employee skills.
- Any other duties and tasks as assigned by Management.
What you bring:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of one to three years of customer service or hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- One to two years of call center or high-volume customer service experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent the Company effectively in a variety of situations.
- Must be available to answer calls M-F from 9AM-5:00PM CST. Overtime may be granted for high-volume times.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to emails and phone calls within a 24-hour window.
- Well organized individual that is deadline oriented and able to make decisions in a fast-paced work environment.
- Team player, who is also able to work well independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent computer skills including and with an emphasis on Excel, MS Word and Outlook.

Compensation:
The salary for our roles depends on circumstances, including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus, incentives, or commission.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
