Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help maintain a safe environment while adhering to all security regulations. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras and access control systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to identify potential hazards or unauthorized access.
- Verify identities and perform background checks on visitors, contractors, and employees to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by executing fire safety procedures, operating AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), Taser devices, or firearms where authorized.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents by providing relevant information and support.
- Manage access control systems efficiently to regulate entry points and prevent unauthorized access while providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in security roles within military, law enforcement, or private security environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques using CCTV systems and familiarity with access control technologies.
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and emergency response procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of conflict de-escalation strategies and conflict management skills to handle tense situations professionally.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or emergency scenarios.
- Experience in performing background checks and ensuring compliance with security regulations is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing and effective interaction with team members, law enforcement, and the public.
