Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented front office person who can fit either in hygiene coordinator or treatment coordinator role to join our team. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who has pleasant personality, ideally who loves talking to people and is outgoing in nature, who can handle multiple calls at a time. Who can efficiently handle dental insurance verification if needed (we have 3rd party remote company handling insurances verifications, and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and coding systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental office management, with specific experience in dental settings being highly advantageous.
Duties
- Answer all phone calls and emails, answer any client questions, and take messages if needed.
- Schedule all appointments.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments. (If needed)
- Enter treatment plan in Eaglesoft, divide it in to phases and present them to patient
- Collect payments from patients post payments in to eaglesoft.
- Greet all clients in the office a direct them to the appropriate area of the clinic.
- Provide support to patients regarding their insurance inquiries and billing questions.
Requirements
- Experience in a dental office setting is required.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems; experience with Eaglesoft plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight within a healthcare context is desirable.
- Background in human resources or supervising staff is an asset.
- Knowledge of managed care practices and utilization management principles is beneficial.
