Job Summary:
We're seeking a vibrant Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team at Seaside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. As an Activities Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating engaging programs and activities that bring joy and connection to our residents. Responsibilities:
- Help plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities, including games, music, crafts, and social events, to support residents' physical, social, and emotional well-being
- Connect with residents to build meaningful relationships and encourage participation
- Create inclusive and accessible activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities
- Set up and maintain activity spaces, ensuring supplies and equipment are organized and ready for use
- Participate in team meetings and training to stay up-to-date on new programs and ideas
- Maintain accurate records of resident involvement and activity success
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support the Activities Director and department
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with older adults in recreational or social settings (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and upbeat personality with a genuine passion for helping others
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
