Lead Smart Home Integration & Security Systems Technician
Connected & Protected Solutions is seeking an experienced, motivated professional to join our growing team as a Lead Smart Home Integration & Security Systems Technician.
This is not an entry-level installer position.
We are looking for someone who understands that today's homes and businesses rely on technology working together seamlessly. The ideal candidate has a strong background in smart home integration, networking, structured wiring, security systems, surveillance cameras, and troubleshooting. What You'll Do
As our Lead Integration Technician, you'll install, configure, program, troubleshoot, and service a variety of residential and light commercial technology systems, including:
- Smart Home Automation Systems
- Security & Alarm Systems
- Video Surveillance Systems
- Residential & Small Business Networks
- Audio & Video Systems
- Access Control
- TV & Projector Installation
- Structured Wiring Infrastructure
You'll be responsible for ensuring every installation meets our standards for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install and program Control4 automation systems
- Install and configure residential and small business networks
- Install and troubleshoot security camera systems
- Install, program, and service Alarm.com security systems
- Configure and troubleshoot Qolsys, 2GIG, and DSC alarm systems
- Terminate and certify Cat6 cabling
- Punch down patch panels and keystone jacks
- Fish wire through finished homes using attic and crawl space access
- Mount televisions and install projector systems
- Install speakers, structured wiring, and low-voltage infrastructure
- Build and organize equipment racks
- Troubleshoot networking and integrated technology systems
- Complete service calls with minimal supervision
- Train and mentor junior technicians when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and job site
- Represent Connected & Protected Solutions professionally with every customer
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional low-voltage installation experience
- Experience with residential technology integration
- Strong understanding of IP networking
- Experience terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
- Experience retrofitting existing homes
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Professional appearance and communication
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments
- Own basic hand tools (company provides power tools and specialty equipment)

Compensation & Benefits
- $25–35 per hour based on experience
