Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker/Delivery Rider to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping maintain a productive and orderly warehouse that moves hundreds of units of inventory every week.
A secondary role will be in assisting in delivering appliances and mattresses to our customers in a timely and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks.
Our warehouse also includes testing appliances to ensure units are complete and functional before moving to the sales floor.
Duties
- Load and unload appliances and mattresses from delivery trucks, ensuring all items are secured and accounted for.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including using hand trucks and pallet jacks for moving inventory.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Process scratch & dent appliances to ensure units are complete and functional.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly throughout the workday.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a bonus, driving duties are required to move up in pay/responsibility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
