Pay Rate: $14.00-$17.00 per hour
The On-Call Café Food Service Worker is responsible for assisting café operations during scheduled production shifts, special events, and seasonal holiday demand. This position supports kitchen operations by preparing food, maintaining quality standards, and assisting with service during peak operational needs. This role requires flexibility and availability during designated weekend production shifts, special events, and holiday schedules.
Every other Friday: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Every other Saturday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Schedule varies depending on event needs. Shifts may include evenings, early mornings, weekends, or other hours as required to support café or catering operations.
Additional shifts may be scheduled during the holiday season to support increased café and catering operations.

Prepare food items according to café recipes and standards

Assist with cooking, plating, and production for café service

Support catering and special event food production

Maintain clean and organized workstations

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Assist with prep work, cooking, and service as assigned

Work collaboratively with culinary leadership and café team members

Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards

Minimum 2 years restaurant or commercial kitchen experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Ability to work early morning or late evening shifts

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
Must be available for scheduled production shifts, special events, and seasonal holiday operations. Flexibility in scheduling is required due to the on-call nature of the position.
