We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties
- Lead and manage the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to deliver outstanding patient service and ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and IV infusion procedures following USP 797 standards and aseptic techniques
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
- Conduct patient assessments, medication reviews, and provide clinical consultations for diverse populations including pediatrics, LTC (Long-Term Care), acute care, and hospital settings
- Manage inventory control, including medication stock levels, drug regulation adherence, and pharmaceutical supply chain logistics
- Implement pharmacy software systems (PIS, EMR/EHR systems) to optimize workflow efficiency and maintain accurate records of patient care activities
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by training staff on pharmacy operations, medical management protocols, immunizations, and healthcare compliance standards
Skills
- Extensive critical care experience coupled with a strong background in hospital or acute care environments
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program with specialized training in clinical pharmacy practice
- Proven expertise in managing pharmacy teams within community or LTC settings; experience in managing pharmacy operations is essential
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, medical terminology, and pain management practices
- Skilled in compounding medications using aseptic techniques in accordance with USP 797 guidelines
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems (PIS), EMR/EHR systems, inventory management tools, and drug regulation policies
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and medication administration education
- Ability to practice as a licensed pharmacist while maintaining high standards of medical management and healthcare compliance
- Knowledge of immunizations administration protocols and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred
- Familiarity with hospital experience including IV insertion/infusion procedures and acute care workflows
- Demonstrated ability to lead managing pharmacy teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment
