Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid SLP licensure in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and parents
- Strong communication, assessment, and intervention skills
- Must work onsite; this position does not accept SLPAs
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for student programming
- Offer consultative services to classroom staff for effective strategies and accommodations
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language therapy and school-based services
