Bay Community Health (BCH) is looking for a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA) to join our growing healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, medical histories, and accurately document information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and injections in accordance with provider orders and CDC guidelines.
- Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, nebulizer treatments, glucose testing, urinalysis, drug screens, and vision/hearing screenings.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens following established protocols.
- Schedule appointments, answer patient calls, relay messages, and assist with referrals and follow-up care.
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent patient situations.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting efficient clinic operations and exceptional customer service.
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Skills
- Active Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a primary care, urgent care, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and standard clinical equipment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
