Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hibachi-style dishes, including meats, vegetables, rice, and seafood, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate.
- Demonstrate expert knife skills and food handling techniques to ensure safe and efficient food preparation.
- Engage guests with entertaining cooking demonstrations, creating an energetic and memorable dining experience.
- Follow all food safety sanitizing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the cooking station at all times.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Manage high-volume production while maintaining attention to detail, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy periods.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation, proper food presentation, and adherence to dietary restrictions or special requests.
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is preferred but not required; a strong interest in culinary arts is essential.
- Experience in fine dining or restaurant environments demonstrates your ability to deliver exceptional service under pressure.
- Proven skills in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production are highly valued.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures ensures compliance with health standards.
- Prior kitchen experience in the food industry or catering settings highlights your capacity for high-volume food handling and meal preparation.
